Art by Gizelle

Gizelle is an accomplished artist with over 50 years of experience. Her career began at age 13 when she won the National Scholastic Art Award. This was the first of many awards she would receive throughout her career. Gizelle earned a bachelor’s degree and went on to work on her master’s degree art. Gizelle works in many mediums, Oil, Watercolor, Pencil, Pastels and Photography. The Howard Hughes Estate in California commissioned Gizelle to provide art for the Hughes mansion in Lake Tahoe California. Her painting “Knife Dome” won an award in the Yosemite Renaissance Art Competition and toured the country in an exhibit at each of the National Park Galleries. Gizelle was the successful artist 6 times for the Town of Genoa in their promotion of the annual “Candy Dance” festival. Her work was featured on promotional posters, the front-page art on the Genoa Newspaper and t-shirts. In addition, her art was selected numerous times by the Town to be used by the USPS on Genoa’s US Postal Stamps. As a freelance artist, she has worked for several national magazines and major corporations.Gizelle’s work is exhibited in numerous galleries; Orange Beach Costal Arts Center, Foley Art Center, Mill Creek Gallery, St. Francis College, Joliet Jr. College, Moline College, Town of Genoa, Lewis University, Howard Hughes Mansion, Pinky’s PDX and is in many Private Collections, etc.Gizelle and her husband are committed to giving back to the Community. They have donated artwork, money and time to numerous non-profits, charities, and causes.
